Are your beliefs found in the Bible?

All Catholic beliefs can be found in the Bible, either plainly described or indicated indirectly. Those beliefs have subsequently been made clear through the authority of the Church and Traditions. St. Paul instructs us to "Stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thess 2:15) St. Paul makes further mention of the authority of the Church and Tradition in 1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 3:6 and in 2 Timothy spanning chapters 1 and 2. Keep in mind that the Bible wasn’t established until the late fourth century, leaving Sacred Tradition and authority to rule the Church as determined it’s contents. As is still our Catholic tradition, when the first Christians had a significant disagreement, they had a council to decide which beliefs were right and once determined made binding decrees, such as the council and decree described in Acts 15.
